What is it used for? A yoga block, sometimes also called a yoga brick, is an accessory used in many different ways and for different purposes during your yoga practice. For example, to support the thighs in meditation, to stimulate the spine in passive extension, or to reduce the distance between the floor and the hands in a standing balance posture, without putting any strain on your joints. A block or two used symmetrically will help you to maintain the asanas comfortably and effortlessly, in a way that’s right for your body. Yoga blocks are also useful for Pilates and muscle strengthening.

Harder and heavier than foam blocks, you may prefer cork blocks for greater stability. They also have the advantage of being made from a natural material, derived from cork oaks. Importantly, the design, origin and production of Yogamatat bricks are 100% European (France and Portugal).

Yogamatata blocks are delivered individually. However, we recommend that you order 2 of the same size and material, as pairs are often useful.
