This travel mat is extra thin, making it easy to carry. At 1.5mm thick, it is very light (1kg) and space saving. It can be rolled up with the included carrying strap or folded to fit easily into your hand luggage or backpack.

• Travel mat: it is suitable for yoga in the wilderness or while travelling, for example on the carpet of your hotel room or at a friend’s house.
• Overlay / yoga towel : it can be used to cover a mat lent to the yoga studio to ensure you are hygienic. You will always feel « at home » wherever your yoga session takes place. Thanks to its natural rubber underside, it stays in place on the other mat during practice and does not move with you. Even if the mat underneath is slippery, its non-slip surface ensures that you don’t slip. Its size is ideal for covering another mat without overflowing, ensuring you have good stability.

You are wondering why choose your velvet mat?This material is ideal for people who tend to sweat from their hands and feet. Unlike other types of yoga mats that tend to be more slippery when sweating, the velvet material is very absorbent. This allows the moisture from perspiration to adhere better to the microfiber surface.

If you don’t sweat or sweat very little, or have rather cold hands and feet, but are still looking for a travel mat or over-mat, here’s a little tip on how to use it well. Before your practice, wet the surface of the mat generously with a spray of water. Feel free to repeat this during your yoga session to thoroughly moisten the surface.

This mat is not compatible with practicing in socks or slippers except of course for static styles such as Yin and Restorative yoga. It is, however, ideal for dynamic yoga or hot yoga due to its high absorbency.
